Comparethemarket employs more than 700 of people across a diverse range of roles, and there’s always plenty happening at this vibrant organisation. The internal communications team has a challenging role in ensuring that everyone feels informed, valued and motivated at work.
Since 2020 we’ve supported the communications department on a retained basis, with a contract to deliver set hours of creative support per month. An important aspect is tailoring projects to diverse audiences, including specific employee groups such as the leadership team.

We’ve established an excellent working relationship with Comparethemarket’s communications department and work together in close partnership to deliver on all priorities.
The Speed team brings diverse skills and talents to the table, acting as an extension to the in-house department and juggling multiple jobs at a time.



Every week is different on this retainer! We support a wide range of projects with the communications team – taking a strategic approach to plan for key milestones and ensuring all activity underpins Comparethemarket’s Employee Value Proposition.
Recent work includes developing creative concepts around the company’s values, designing content for its intranet site, delivering video and imagery for TV screens around the company’s offices and creating quote cards to share employee’s views and learnings.
We relish the challenge of the work, which often involves collaborating to come up with creative and innovative ideas, using mood boards to illustrate and discuss potential approaches. We dedicate a set amount of time each week to the client, which helps address occasional tight turnarounds.
An important element of this relationship is adhering to brand guidelines while finding something new – and addressing the viewpoints of multiple stakeholders. By checking in with the team on a weekly basis, we ensure that everyone is informed on our joint progress and we can address any queries.
Our solution lies in the combination of structure and flexibility. By allocating a dedicated weekly slot, we stay embedded in the rhythm of the internal comms team, allowing for both long-term planning and quick-turn creative support when needed.
