Silverstream Technologies is a pioneering force in the marine technology sector. With over a decade of proven innovation, the company has developed and deployed an industry-leading air lubrication system, which significantly reduces the frictional resistance between a ship’s hull and the water.

Silverstream was already a highly regarded name within marine engineering and shipping innovation. However, the brand was in a transitional phase – solidly established, but seeking to evolve its presence.
We initially began working with Silverstream after a previous client contact moved to the company. Having tasked Speed with a refresh of its brochures, it now wanted to ensure there was a consistent experience for its partners and customers when visiting the company online.
We were asked to focus on enhancing the website to ensure a consistent and compelling user experience that matched the brand’s growing reputation.

The work resulted in a cleaner, more effective and strategically aligned digital presence for Silverstream. By focusing on the user journey, we helped the business communicate its offer more clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
The improved site experience better reflects the innovation and confidence of the brand, supporting sales conversations and reinforcing Silverstream’s reputation as a leader in sustainable marine technologies.


We began the project with a strategic website workshop, working closely with Silverstream’s marketing and commercial teams to understand the evolving needs of their audiences. This collaborative session clarified key priorities. The new site needed to better reflect the messages being shared by the sales team and support users throughout the entire decision-making process.
Following the workshop, we conducted a full UX and UI review. We mapped out distinct user journeys for each of the company’s core audiences, including technical stakeholders, procurement leads, media contacts, and potential partners. This process revealed clear opportunities to make the site more intuitive, informative, and conversion-friendly.
We then collaborated on a new sitemap and content structure, designed to guide each user type along a tailored pathway. We introduced new content areas to build trust, clarified complex technical details, and added benefit-led messaging throughout to strengthen the overall proposition.
To modernise and futureproof the experience, we also introduced enhanced functionality. This included an intelligent search tool that allowed users to quickly find relevant content, and a fully integrated media library. The library provided a centralised location for approved brand assets and imagery, streamlining access for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Our solution focused on aligning the website experience with Silverstream’s commercial goals. By grounding the project in a detailed understanding of the user journey, we ensured the site could actively support sales conversations, rather than simply reflecting them.
We designed a modular content structure that delivered technical depth where needed, while keeping navigation simple and intuitive for less specialist users. The intelligent search functionality and media library added real utility, turning the site into a practical tool for both marketing and business development teams.
Rather than just updating the look and feel, we helped Silverstream transform the role of their website, shifting it from a static brand touchpoint into a dynamic platform that supports engagement, education, and conversion across audiences.
