Job Description

We are a growing Creative and Technology Agency and we are looking for someone to take the quality of our web and software development to the next level.

With a determination and passion for delivering the best possible user experience, the QA Tester will play a critical role in delivering high quality, perfectly-functioning software, websites and web applications for our clients.

You will be actively involved in the full lifecycle of change, working on your own and with the wider team to ensure that solutions meet the needs of the project.

You will collaborate with both the Client Service Project Managers and Agile Product Managers, as well we the Developers to determine the scope and requirements for testing on each project.

This is a new role and an exciting development for us as a business. We are looking for the right candidate to evaluate and recommend programmes which will identify and help remove bugs, glitches, and other user experience issues. Creating testing plans based on user stories and implementing systematic test plans. Working in the Development team you will be responsible for both manual and automated tests.

Your role covers the following tasks:

  • Understanding of the website/software Testing Life Cycle
  • Following formal methodologies and processes with an attention to detail
  • Planning and estimating work required to test through to final end product
  • Writing test plans and scripts
  • Carrying out test under varying circumstances
  • Documenting and evaluating test results
  • Detectings, loggings, and reporting bugs and glitches
  • Tracking defects and helping troubleshoot errors
  • Recommendations for an improved user experience based on test results
  • Reviewing test procedures and develops test scripts
  • Working to deadlines and prioritizes tasks
  • Communicating and liaiseing with Project and Development teams to ensure a smooth project delivery
  • Taking ownership of issues through to resolution

Reporting into: Senior Developer or MD (tbc)

Salary: Up to £25,000 depending on experience

Start date: ASAP
